TO CUT YOUR TAXES!

THE COALITION AGAINST RUNAWAY TAXATION (CART) SUPPORTS THE 1.35 TAX INITIATIVE BECAUSE IT:

1 - Limits ad valorem taxes to 1.35% of your property’s TAXABLE VALUE ($1,350 for each $100,000 in Taxable Value after all exemptions have been deducted)

2 - Preserves "SAVE OUR HOMES" 3% cap exemption. Preserves ALL OTHER EXEMPTIONS i.e.:veterans, age and widow/widower, etc.

3 - Applies to all properties - Homesteaded, Non homesteaded, Rental, Commercial. Condominiums, Single or Multi-family. It is a level playing field for all property owners.

4 - It will cut property taxes an average of 25% across the State.

5 - It will energize the Real Estate Market and allow Homesteaded Owners to move on with their lives -their home will no longer be their financial prison.

6 - This petition is backed by House Speaker Rubio who stated that he: "encourages each of you to support a grassroots drive . . ." (for a plan that) calls for a maximum tax of 1.35% of the taxable value of a parcel of property.

This plan is simple, it applies to all properties, it keeps Save Our Homes and it cuts almost $8 Billion in property taxes (per year)."
